Gosart’s violent video
I have listened to the Trump sycophants defend Paul Gosart’s video of him killing AOC and then going after Biden. I believe there is a Federal law against threatening a president.
”Threatening the president of the United States is a federal felony under United States Code Title 18, Section 871. It consists of knowingly and willfully mailing or otherwise making “any threat to take the life of, to kidnap, or to inflict bodily harm upon the President of the United Atates”. The law also includes presidential candidates, vice presidents, and former presidents. The United States Secret Service investigates suspected violations of this law and monitors those who have a history of threatening the president. Threatening the president is considered a political offense. Immigrants who commit this crime can be deported.”
I think this is exactly what Paul Gosart did. he needs more than censure. HE SHOULD BE EXPELLED FROM CONGRESS. And for his Republicqn co- conspiriters who said “
“It’s only a video” I recall a time when vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin posted a map WITH Targets over the states where Dems were in office. Not long after that map of targeted Dem seats was circulated GabbyGifford was shot in the head at an event. 6 people died and 15 or more were wounded. She was in one of those targeted districts.
There has never been a connection made between these two events… The map and the shooting. But how do we know what will trigger an extremist or a domestic terrorist to act out their rage. I belive people like Marorie Taylor Greene, Lauren Bobert, and Matt Gaetz. who speak the way they do, are guilty of “egging on” those unstable radical right wing extremists.
WE need to rid congress, both the house and the Senate of Republicans. NOT ONLY ARE THEY TERRIBLE AT GOVERNING. They openly obstruct anything the other side proposes. No discussion . no debate.. Filibuster it and kill it. But they are the most hypocritical asses on the planet. They do not even try to hide it or deny it. McConnell refused to meet with Obama’s Supreme court pick because we were a year away from an election is disturbing but when Ruth Bader Ginsberg died, her body wasn’t even cold , before Trump was putting up Amy Cony Barrett, to fill her seat and McConnell quickly arranged those senate hearings, and she was easily approved for her seat on the court, one which I believe she is not qualified to hold.
Another conservative, this one an extemist in her religiou views was added to an already CONSERVATIE DOMINATED COURT. It is only a matter of time before they overturn Roe V Wade and women will have to go back to getting that procedure in poor conditions that put her life at risk.
It looks as if Conservatives continue to put the lives of citizens in jeopardy. The only things they care about saving are the mass of cells known as an embryo in a womans body, until the 11th week when it is then called a fetus. Still not a viable human life. But this is the only life Rpublicans want to protect. Shame on them. I WILL never cast a vote for a candidate with an “R” next to their name.
